For Kids

Think of us as your child’s smile guardians.

Decay is preventable. That’s why regular visits to the dentist and good oral hygiene are so important.

At Eversmiles, we work to build a relationship with you and your child. You may be familiar with the concept of a medical home for your child’s overall health concerns. A dental home offers the same types of benefits, from reduced costs over time to your child having less anxiety about visiting the dentist.

Establishing a dental home also allows us to customize prevention to your child. Some children may need to have regular dental visits more often to monitor potential issues.

Here are a few things to expect during your child’s regular dental check-ups.

Our hygienists apply fluoride, which helps protect and strengthen teeth. They also thoroughly clean teeth to remove any plaque and tartar buildup. When needed, we take digital x-rays (digital means far less radiation exposure than traditional x-rays plus the benefits of digital images, which can easily be shared with other health care providers).

We recommend dental sealants at appropriate ages to help reduce the risk of decay. Some teeth, especially back ones, have deep pits and grooves that are difficult to clean. Sealants protect those teeth from food and bacteria.

At each visit, we also strive to give you practical advice—from nutritional counseling to tips on flossing—to help your child care for their teeth at home.
